Peter Abegunrin

Peter Abegunrin is an Associate in the firm’s Power and Infrastructure Practice Group, where he advises corporate clients on energy projects, infrastructure developments, and corporate financing transactions. His practice focuses on supporting clients involved in complex commercial projects and investment-related matters across the power and infrastructure sectors.

In addition to his transactional work, Peter has experience in dispute resolution, having trained within the firm's Dispute Resolution Practice. He has represented both corporate and individual clients in commercial disputes before courts and arbitral tribunals, providing legal support on contentious matters and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.

Peter distinguished himself academically, graduating as the best graduating student at Joseph Ayo Babalola University and among the top performers at the Nigerian Law School. His achievements include receiving the Chief T.O.S. Benson Award for Best Student of the Year (3rd Prize), the Chief Rotimi Williams Award for 2nd Prize in Property Law Practice, the Chief Adegboyoga Awomolo Award for 3rd Prize in Corporate Law Practice, and the Director General’s Prize for First Class Students.

He holds an LL.B from Joseph Ayo Babalola University, a B.L from the Nigerian Law School, and has completed the SEO Africa International Programme as well as training in Corporate Finance from the Corporate Finance Institute. Peter is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (AICMC).
