Dr. Babatunde Ajibade, SAN

Dr. Babatunde Ajibade (SAN, FCIArb) is the Managing Partner of S. P. A. Ajibade & Co., a leading corporate and commercial law firm in Nigeria. He is a highly experienced Dispute Resolution specialist with extensive expertise in commercial litigation and international arbitration.

He has acted as counsel in both ad hoc and institutional arbitration proceedings and also serves as an arbitrator. His practice covers complex commercial disputes, international commercial arbitration, and cross-border dispute resolution.

He is actively involved in leading international legal institutions, including the International Bar Association (IBA), ICC Arbitration Commission, Lagos Court of Arbitration (LCA), and other global arbitration bodies. He previously served as Chairman of the Judiciary Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association.

He holds a PhD in Private International Law and an LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law from King’s College London, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1989. He is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK).
