Kemi has been engaged as an expert witness on Nigerian oil and gas law before the court of Milan in connection with the OPL 245 case involving Shell and ENI; before the ICC London in proceedings between Jagal Ventures and Sinopec; and before the court in Singapore for a Singaporean independent. She has advised the consortium of Vitol, Delonex and Africa Oil Corporation on its US$1.407 billion acquisition of a 50% interest in Petrobras Oil and Gas B.V.; Sasol on its US$10 billion GTL project in Nigeria; Afren Plc on several investments in Nigeria; and ContourGlobal on its US$250 million OPIC‑backed financing. She also advised Target Global on its investment in Kuda Technologies (parent company of Kuda Microfinance Bank, the first digital‑only bank in Nigeria) and Subsea Seven on local content and joint venture arrangements.

Kemi holds an LL.B from the University of Lagos (1990), a BL from the Nigerian Law School (1991), and a BA from the University of Ife (1986). She is a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, a member of the Institute of Directors, and a registered professional with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria.
