Franklin Okoro

Franklin Okoro is an Associate in the firm's Intellectual Property Law practice at Jackson, Etti & Edu, based in the Lagos office. He advises clients on trademark protection, commercial intellectual property, data protection, and related regulatory matters, with a focus on helping businesses secure and manage their intellectual assets, mitigate legal risks, and support commercial growth through practical, business-oriented legal solutions.

He regularly advises multinational corporations, emerging businesses, and established brands on trademark prosecution and portfolio management across Nigeria and other jurisdictions, intellectual property commercialisation, licensing and assignment arrangements, brand protection strategies, and data protection compliance. He also supports clients on commercial transactions involving intellectual property.

Franklin holds an LL.B. from the University of Ibadan and a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School. He is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association, the Intellectual Property Law Advocacy Network, the Data Privacy Lawyers Association of Nigeria, and the Institute of Information Management (Africa).
