Olujimi Bucknor

Olujimi Bucknor is a Partner at Dentons in Lagos, practicing in the Corporate and Commercial group, specializing in Mergers and Acquisitions. He advises on M&A, fintech, technology, media and telecommunications, foreign investment, property/real estate transactions, employment law, and regulatory compliance, with a focus on the telecommunications and health sectors.

Olujimi has advised on numerous high‑value transactions, including advising the management of Interswitch on VISA's US$200 million acquisition of a 20% stake; advising IHS Nigeria on a series of transactions totaling $485 million for the acquisition of over 11,000 communication sites and its US$223 million acquisition of Helios Towers Nigeria; advising Bharti Airtel on the acquisition of Zain's African businesses; advising Public Investment Corporation of South Africa on its US$250 million investment in Ecobank; and advising Hygeia Nigeria Limited on the sale of 83.4% equity for US$66.8 million to an international consortium. He has also advised on the Redline Rail Mass Transit Project for the Lagos State Government.

He holds a B.A. (Hons) in History from Lagos State University (1996), an LL.B from the University of Kent (2001), an LL.M in Banking and Finance Law from the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (2002), and a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School (2004). He was called to the Nigerian Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria in 2004.

Olujimi is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (2016) and a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.
