Suleiman Yunusa

Suleiman Yunusa is a Partner with extensive experience in corporate governance, company secretarial services, regulatory compliance, banking and finance, capital market transactions, insolvency, and corporate restructuring. He is recognized for providing strategic legal and corporate advisory support to organizations across regulated industries.

Prior to joining the firm as a Partner, Suleiman spent nearly two decades with the Union Bank of Nigeria Group, where he rose to the position of Group Company Secretary and Legal Adviser of Union Registrars Limited. During his tenure, he played a significant role in corporate restructuring projects, including the implementation of divestiture programs undertaken in compliance with directives issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

His professional practice covers capital raising transactions, corporate governance advisory, legal audits, regulatory compliance, custodial services, banking and finance matters, and Islamic finance transactions, including sukuk bond structures. He has advised clients on complex corporate and regulatory issues while supporting effective governance and risk management frameworks.

Suleiman holds an LL.B degree from Bayero University, Kano and a B.L qualification from the Nigerian Law School. He is a Notary Public of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), International Bar Association (IBA), International Law Association (Nigeria Branch), Capital Market Solicitors Association, and the Association of Capital Market Registrars.
